HAND RANKINGS IN TEXAS HOLD'EM POKER
In Texas Hold’em Poker, the players compare each others’ five card hands and this way determine who the winner is. For example, a Four-of-a-Kind hand is better than a Three-of-a-Kind hand and therefore the poker player with the Four-of-a-Kind is the winner. You can see the Texas Hold'em Hand Rankings on the picture on the right. Below, you may see a list of the hands in Texas Hold’em Poker from best to worst – the better the position the stronger the hand.
1. Royal Flush – Ace-High straight of one suit.
Ace – King – Queen – Jack - 10
2. Straight Flush – Straight of one suit.
10 – 9 – 8 – 7 - 6
3. Four-of-a-Kind – Four cards of one kind (same rank).
Queen – Queen – Queen – Queen – 5
4. Full House – A combination of Three-of-a-Kind and a Pair.
Ace – Ace – Ace – King – King
5. Flush – Five cards of the same suit.
King – 9 – 7 – 5 – 2 (same suit)
6. Straight – Five cards of sequential rank.
8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4
7. Three-of-a-Kind - Four cards of one kind (same rank).
Queen – Queen – Queen – 7 – 4
8. Two Pair – Two cards of one kind and another two cards of one kind.
Jack – Jack – 9 – 9 – 8
9. Pair – Two cards of the same kind.
King – King – 9 – 8 – 4
10. High Card – If nobody has any of the above then whoever has the highest card wins.
Ace – Queen – 8 – 5 - 2
